Practice News
Here you can find out about changes to your care whether it be internal or external and how this affects you.
NHS Prescription Ordering Direct (POD)
From 1st April 2018 we will be changing the way you order repeat prescriptions to ensure you receive the correct quantity of medication you need in a timely manner and reduce medication wastage. All it takes is a simple phone call to 024 7624 6072 between 8am and 5pm, Mon- Fri that you can make from the comfort of your own home. Your prescription can then be sent electronically to a nominated pharmacy of your choice or collected from your doctor’s surgery if preferred after 2 working days.
Our visit from the CQC
The CQC is a regulatory body which monitors and checks us to ensure we provide you with the best quality care possible. We are very pleased by the outcome of our CQC visit in summer 2016 which rated us as "Good". You can see what this means by visiting the "Policies" page which contains more information.Â
As a practice we have developed a culture of quality improvement and endeavor to constantly improve our internal and external processes through use of tools such as training, feedback and more. Why not visit our "Have your say" page and tell us about what you like and what can be improved further?
Online facilities
You can now manage your appointments, prescriptions and more on the go. The NHS is eager to get as many primary care patients online as possible to enable a quicker, higher quality and more convenient end to end service for patients. The service is free, safe to use and available to everyone who is registered with a GP. Are you interested in taking up this opportunity? If so please just ask one of our reception staff for more information and we'll be happy to help.

Please note that if you sign up for online services you still have the flexibility to choose which parts of your care you'd like to manage online. This also means that if you find it isn't for you, you can easily continue to manage your care offline via the surgery.
